P.E.T.S. (Puppy Environmental Training Socials)

Location: Pet Food Express, 1902 S. Bascom Ave., Campbell.

Day: Saturday

Time: 10am – Level 1: first timers and shy or small (generally puppies under 30lbs)

Got Fun? We do! PETS is a new type of social. During this one-hour puppy social your puppy will be exposed to multiple new and different sights, sounds and surfaces. All first-timers must attend a Level 1 session — no exceptions. This is a safe place where your puppy can build its confidence in approaching new and unfamiliar situations.  Your puppy will be able to socialized with other puppies and will be able to refine their play skills, their social skills and bite inhibition.

10am – Level 1: first timers and shy or small (generally puppies under 30lbs); 10:45am: Level 2 Beginner (graduates of Level 1, not-shy puppies over 30lbs); 11:30am: Level 3 Kinder (invite only); 12:15pm:  Level 4 – Teen (invite only); 1pm: Level 5 Big and brave (invite only);  RSVP required.

Requirements: Your puppy must be under 18 weeks of age or currently enrolled in Puppy 1 class when they attend their first social, then they can continue to come as long as they remain friendly and social. Bring proof of vaccinations with you to your first social. There must be an adult 18 years or older present at all times. Cost: $20 each. Pre-registration required during Covid-19. Peninsula Humane Society Puppy Playgroup

Location: Tom and Anette Lantos Center for Compassion, 1450 Rollins Rd. Burlingame.

Day: Saturday

Time: Sat 9:30am - 10:00am

Puppy Playgroup is for puppies 2 to 4 months of age at the time of class. This class will provide owners the opportunity to learn what appropriate play is through supervised off-leash playtime. The class will help your puppy learn to play appropriately with other dogs through the use of management by the trainer. Whether a puppy is safe to participate in playgroup is at the discretion of the trainer. Proof of vaccination (at least one round of DHPP) is required to attend. Puppy Play Time Meetup

Location: Dog Town, 540 Bryant Street, Palo Alto.

If you just got a puppy and want to start off on the right foot come on in to Dog Town in Palo Alto! Take advantage of this opportunity to introduce your pup to other puppies and watch them romp around and play! These play groups will be supervised by a professional dog trainer. Teri Aslett with Legendary Teri’s Dog Training & Pet Care is ready to make sure your pup has a good experience making new friends.

While your puppy is playing, you can pick up useful potty training tips and get some answers to many other training questions. You will be given a handout containing valuable information about the critical periods in a puppies life and how much of an impact they make on the way your pup will behave as an adult.

This meetup is for puppies 20 weeks and under. Puppies must have had their first round of shots a minimum of 5 days prior to the meetup. Willow Glen Yappy Hour!

Location: Willow Glen area of San Jose

Yappy Hour is a small dog social, where dogs come to play and socialize with each other while being monitored by two CPDT-KA certified professional dog trainers with years of experience training and running doggy playgroups. We’ve started and run playgroups at a number of local shelters for shelter dogs, and now we’re doing it for Willow Glen!

We’ll pick up your dog from the Willow Glen area of San Jose, bring him to Yappy Hour! and return him home after 1 – 1.5 hours of fun playtime with other dog friends. We pair dogs for play based on play style and personality, making sure that every dog is enjoying themselves. So much more than a walk! The cost is $35.
