Day of Week

Pit Bull Training Class

Location: Please register for location

Day: Sunday

Time: 10:00am - 11:00am

Who should attend: new owners/adopters, leash-reactive PBs, and anyone looking to hone their dog’s manners, esp. around other dogs. We help you strengthen the owner-dog bond, improve & maintain your dog’s leash manners, and work on leash reactivity issues. (Not sure if your dog is leash reactive? Check out our Leash Reactivity page). This is a drop-in class, so your dog is always exposed to new dogs. This is a GREAT way to desensitize him/her to other dogs on-leash and to teach your dog to focus on you despite the environment. For more information on this class, email info@ourpack.org.

Dog Agility Course Open

Location: Wilson Vet Clinic parking lot, 24900 Highland Way, Los Gatos.

Day: Sunday

Time: Check the website for time (rain cancels)

Open training for 2 hours on an agility course in the Santa Cruz Mts off Summit Road, 15 mins from Los Gatos. Dog agility is a series of obstacles, such as jumps and tunnels, made into a course that the dogs work through. This form of dog play can be purely for fun or serious competition. If the handler has not done agility before then Kristin works them through equipment and some basics. Then they can practice what ever they like. Most come for fun and a few are into competing. There will be no training on Thanksgiving weekend and/or if it rains. Your dog must be in good health; age is not a factor; socially adjusted to people and dogs, and have mastered basic control commands. Beginners are welcome. Please come join us. Contact Kristina Irvin or just show up. Items to bring besides your dog – leash, treats, toy and enthusiasm. Fee to participate is as you feel; the money will go to more equipment. For more information see the website at lomaprietadogagility.com call Kristina Irvin at 408 353-5358 or 408-506-8670 or IN8RUNNER@aol.com.
