Calling all Great Pyrenees! Great Pyrenees Rescue of Northern California invites all Great Pyrenees and their two-legged friends to join us in marching in the Aptos 4th of July Parade. The pyrs are always a crowd (and Judge) favorite! Then immediately following we’ll relax and refuel at our host Don Bowden’s mountain cabin retreat nearby for a BBQ lunch and social hour. Bring a dish to share — there’s lots of cool shade and great trails to explore at Don’s home near the parade route. We’ll provide directions at the parade lineup. We will be lining up at 9 AM (parade begins at 10 AM) (look for the group of impossibly large, fluffy white dogs – we’re hard to miss). After our march (which takes about 45 minutes), a club member with a home nearby hosts a post-parade-pyr-party with food, drink and a beautiful setting to visit with other friendly, pyr-loving folks and their four-legged fluffy pals. So add a little red and blue to your favorite big white dog and join the festivities! For more information contact Deb Michelotti at deb@citadeltech.com (please use “pyr” in the subject line of your email) for further details.
